Freeman Beauty: Spooky Mystery Bag, part 2

Tuesday, October 29, 2013

Basically I'm here throwing my money at Freeman Beauty because I ended up ordering a second Spooky Mystery Bag box. My order the first time came to $25.99 and the total value of my purchase was $100.77. That was basically a 75% savings and so I mulled it over for a good hot minute before deciding that 1) I wanted the Papaya & Coconut Shampoo to go with the conditioner and 2) the products that came my girls will use or I'll use it or will put in my Secret Santa box depending on who I get  to play Secret Santa too. Basically, I couldn't pass up ordering a 2nd box because it's a really good deal and I've liked many of their products in the past.

So what did I order and what came in my 2nd Spooky Mystery Bag/Box?

Feeling Beautiful Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Mask , 6.0 oz; retail: $3.99

In one of the past Ipsy GlamBags some subscribers were sent a charcoal scrub from Michael Todd Organics. It was an okay scrub which I have pretty much used up but honestly I don't see myself spending $18.50 (plus shipping and any applicable tax) on a 3.4 oz tube of it. Instead I've decided to try the one from Freeman Beauty since it's only $3.99 and you get 6 oz of it.

Papaya and Coconut Color Retention Shampoo, 13.5 oz; retail $2.90 ($5.80 total)

I really liked the scent from the conditioner which is why I decided to order the shampoo this time around. Factor in the high chance that I'll be getting a second conditioner I decided to take the chance and order two of these Papaya and Coconut Shampoos. While I didn't get a 2nd Papaya and Coconut conditioner I did get the Papaya and Mango one so we'll use the shampoo with that conditioner. It's all good! :D

The freebies! The free mask I picked this time around was the Feeling Beautiful FREE Pomegranate Facial Revealing Peel-Off Mask Travel Size, 0.5 oz (retail $1.99). I'm not fond of their Cucumber Peel-Off mask so this is going straight to Kat since she loves their peel-off masks. I used the WELCOME promo code again to pick up another bottle of travel size Psssst Instant Dry Shampoo (retail $2.99). My girls like their dry shampoo so now they'll each have one.

Total value of selected items:  $14.77

*So the value they placed on it is $3.33 based on the $9.99 set. Value based on weight is $1.31.

This time my Mystery Spooky Bag came to $91.79 which is indeed as advertised as "over $90". Am I happy with the majority of products? Absolutely.

In all I spent $55.96 on both my orders ($25.99 on the first order, $29.97 on my second order). The total value of my first bag was $100.77 while the total value of my second was $106.56 with the grand total of both - $207.33! I save almost 75% on their Mystery Bag (actual savings was approximately 73%).

So would I order again in the future? Absolutely! Many of the products I've never tried, many of the Freeman Beauty lines I've never heard of. My daughters and I will use pretty much everything up. It'll take us a few months but I don't see one thing here one of us won't use.

  1. Enjoy the mist; I'm ready to order again!
