My last purchase (maybe) with Birchbox

Sunday, July 07, 2013

Well, I've finally spent almost all of my Birchbox points. I have 95 points left... five shy of another $10 off! LOL So here's what I've ordered:

  1. Benefit Cosmetics Stay Flawless $32.00
  2. Sumita Eyeshadow Pencils - Rusna $11.00
  3. Sumita Eyeshadow Pencils - Praima $11.00
  4. Sumita Color Intense Pencil - Tasha $11.00
  5. Sumita Color Contrast Eyeliner - Saletii (Charcoal Grey) $11.00
  6. Carol's Daughter® Monoi Repairing Shampoo $18.00
  7. Carol's Daughter® Monoi Repairing Conditioner $20.00
  8. Hail Merry Macaroons - Strawberry $5.00
Subtotal $119.00
Shipping & Handling $0.00
Discount (15% off for Seventeen Magazine, 7TEEN15) -$17.85
1000 reward points -$100.00
Grand Total $1.15

Woohoo! A whole $1.15 out of pocket!

So why I picked what I picked. I have samples of the Benefit Stay Flawless however I can't stand the sample because it's not as easy to apply as from the stick. I liked it at ULTA where I tried it but at $32 it's just out of my no-buy (HAHA!) price point. So since I'm not really paying for it I figured I'd get it now. LOL

I picked Carol's Daughter Monoi Repairing Shampoo & Conditioner after using my foil samples from Birchbox. Monoi is a type of gardenia and I'm a sucker for gardenia. I can't believe I had it on my swap list and almost gave away something I really ended up liking. So since I had these BB points and that promo code from Seventeen magazine I figured I might as well get it now! ;)

More Sumita/Ziba Beauty items. So the Saletii I already have a full size that was sent to me by Birchbox for reviewing purposes. Loved it on my youngest daughter since I firmly believe that black eyeliner on a young teen is just way too dark but the charcoal grey is perfect on her. Since I haven't duped this out I figured I'd get a spare for her because I may not remember to track down a gray liner for her later on. The other Sumita items will be new to me but the colors look fantastic in the Birchbox pictures and considering I liked some of the other pencils I've received I figured why not try more.
