Block by Glossybox on Twitter & no idea why
Thursday, June 27, 2019
Well, it's been a minute since I've posted about Glossybox US here on my blog. I was originally a subscriber when they launched in 2012 but cancelled my subscription due to issues with the products and/or shipping. I re-subscribed at the end of January 2014 (so the "first box" was in February 2014) and cancelled for a second and final time a few months after that.
Today I decided to check out their Twitter account to see if I wanted to resubscribe only to find out I've been blocked! Like what?!
No idea when this happened as I last thought about this company in 2014 and last Tweeted about them in 2012, as far as I recall. In fact, I think the last box they sent me was complimentary and in an attempt to get me to re-subscribe again but the products came broken. I'm pretty sure it was Glossybox, who else uses a pink box? Allure uses a red box, Birchbox uses various patterns these days, Ipsy uses a bubble mailer....
The last Tweets I sent to Glossybox, until today, were in 2012. You can see them here and here. As far as I know, I haven't posted on Twitter about them since then and nothing posted in 2012 warranted a block.
I contacted Glossybox via their Live Chat just a short time ago and was told to send a message via their online message system. After I got off the Live Chat with Nicola I saw that Live Chat was no longer available. I attempted to send a message to them and attach a screenshot (see the above) of the block on Twitter but couldn't send it as I was given an error message.
Needless to say I won't be subscribing to Glossybox EVER again.
