Ipsy: January 2014 Sneak Peeks

Happy New Year! Can you believe another year has passed and this will be the 26th bag Ipsy sends out to subscribers? New year, new sneak peeks! If you're not a subscriber you can sign up but no guarantee you'll be able to get the January bag.

Did you know that when Ipsy was MyGlam and when they first launched there were no sneak peeks? I and a handful of others learned how MyGlam uploaded the product pages and as such were able to find those product pages and do our own sneak peeks a few days before bags shipped and MyGlam announced the items that month. As time passed and MyGlam became Ipsy they finally began to do sneak peeks with the first official Ipsy sneak peeks in November 2012 and began posting those sneak peeks around the times the bags were shipped.

If Ipsy holds to what they've been doing the last few months there should be a total of five sneak peeks released this week leading up to the "Glam Rooms" updating on January 10 (Friday). Sneak peeks begin January 6, 2014 at 8 AM Pacific and once those sneak peeks are released I'll have that info here and any possible reveals after each reveal.

Sneak Peek 1: January 6, 2014
JANUARY 2014 GLAM BAG SNEAK PEEK #1: Fabulous lips, Fabulous life! One of these lip products will give you a reason to have some adventure this new year! http://mygl.am/Jan2014SneakPeek1

One of the items is (MALIN + GOETZ) mojito lip balm (retail: $12). The lip items in the pots are unknown but it kind of reminds me of Cailyn Cosmetics lip balms we've had a couple of months ago. MicaBella/MicaBeauty also has these same lip balm pots with brush.

Ipsy has confirmed it's not Cailyn Cosmetics.

NOTE: MicaBeauty's Tinted Lip Balms are made by Smile World which is the parent company of Cailyn Cosmetics. If you like the lip balms but don't want to spend $30 on MicaBeauty's site then go to Cailyn's site since they sell the exact same thing (right down to the same name) for only $19 each.

Sneak Peek 2: January 7, 2014
JANUARY 2014 GLAM BAG SNEAK PEEK #2: So many beautiful horizons ahead! Make your 2014 your mostly beautiful year ever with one of these great products. http://mygl.am/Jan2014SneakPeek2

One item is from Yaby the other two say "Smooth Shadow" which are from Elizabeth Mott. Hopefully the Yaby item is a color corrector and not the liquid foundation since foundation is so personal.

Sneak Peek 3: January 8, 2014
JANUARY 2014 GLAM BAG SNEAK PEEK #3: Gorgeous for 2014, 24/7! From desk to dinner, your lovely look will last with one of these awesome products.

The "OR" items include:

Sneak Peek 4: January 9, 2014
JANUARY 2014 GLAM BAG SNEAK PEEK #4: The 2014 adventure begins now! Start it off right with two of these picks in your January Glam Bag! http://mygl.am/Jan2014SneakPeek4
I immediately recognize Willa On The Go towelettes since those were in a past Birchbox. There's Proactiv+ wipes. In all there are 11 skin care samples. I'll have more info shortly.

Sneak Peek 5: January 10, 2014!
JANUARY 2014 GLAM BAG SNEAK PEEK #5: 2014 is full of reasons to get gorgeous and tote your all-day essentials in your January Glam Bag! http://mygl.am/Jan2014SneakPeek5

    1. You can send it back to ipsy and they should send you a new one!! Or contact ipsycare to tell them. I thought about doing that since my pixi bronzer lid is broken but it still works and I'm too lazy.

    2. Mine leaked all over my bag also. You're right though, it did smell so good! (:

    3. I have to agree. If it came damaged let them know. Unfortunately they may not have that perfume sample and most likely will substitute it with something else. I've read at different places some of the replacements were NOYA lip balms so just be aware you may or may not get the perfume as a replacement.

    4. They will absolutely replace it, they did with mine. I got a Benetint sample.

  2. Maybe it's a hair oil? Which would be awesome!

  3. So excited now that I've looked further into the items. Definitely the colors match for Micabella Natural and Fiesta but the lid is weird since it looks like there is a clear one in the picture.

Also, looked further at the smooth shadow. It comes in 3 gorgeous colors: pearl (rose gold/beige), penny (copper), and raven (charcoal). SO EXCITED NOW! Would love anything in the final picture too. Trying to figure out the serum or oil item. It is shaped like Ole Henrikkson but it has a black lid UGH

  4. In the 4th sneak peek, the white tube with the blue line looks like it could be from rodan and fields. Possible the daily cleansing mask? Rodan and fields is the same company as Proactive, so it would make sense seeing that they are offering a proactive product.

    1. If it is then it's still not showing up on Ipsy. :|

  5. The white tube with the blue line is glo naturals by vitacost.com. It looks exactly like my tube of BB Cream.

    1. Looking at it again...maybe the stripe is too thin, and BB Cream doesn't really fit in with the rest of the items in this sneak peek.

    2. Regardless if you're right or wrong, it's a very good lead. :)

  7. The white tube on the bottom left of the fourth sneak peek is a Coola moisturizer. They've sent it out before.
