My thoughts: Dr Scholl's For Her High Heel insoles (mini-review)

Monday, July 08, 2013

So my Sunkissed VoxBox from Influenster came a couple of weeks ago and in my box came the Dr. Scholl's For Her High Heel insoles. Problem is I don't wear heels any longer after twisting my ankle so I ended up passing these along to my youngest daughter who is new to wearing heels and has complained about her feet hurting her.

Surprisingly these insoles I didn't need to cut to adjust but smaller feet may. I have used Dr. Scholl's insoles before and always had to cut the insoles to fit my shoe. The only issue I had was the I first placed these heel first and quickly realized how small the insoles were. A quick adjustment of the insole and it was better. She said with the insoles it (the shoes) felt better.

Note: I did a dry fit first because once you peel the plastic away and insert it into the shoe and check then peeling the insole from the shoe is a pain. I learned that lesson from a different Dr. Scholl's product that needed to be trimmed to fit and was one of those peelable stick on insoles.

I think these are odd sized because a size 6 (US) foot is not the same as a 10. There is a huge size difference and I think Dr. Scholl's should make these in four sizes - 4 to 5, 6 to 7, 8 to 9 and 10 to 11 rather than a 6 to 10. I have a friend who wears a 4 1/2 (US) heel, I wear a 8 1/2 shoe, my youngest daughter a size 9 and I have friends who tall at over 6' with larger feet (and amazing legs) so if I'm seeing a gap in a size 9 shoe then a size 10 and 11 will have a larger gap.

Would I buy these again? Nope. I don't wear heels and while I might consider buying these for my daughter's heels most likely I won't purchase. I would purchase other insoles - and have - the high heel insoles are not for me.

Retail: $10.99

Available: Mass market stores like Target, Walmart, RiteAid, Walgreens, Fred Meyer, etc.

  1. I don't wear heels too often, but every single pair has a pair of insoles in them! These are def the best I've tried, glad I got a pair in my Influenster box!
