My thoughts: Hanskin face mask
Wednesday, April 24, 2013I signed back up for Sample Society a couple of months ago and received my April 2013 box a week or so. One of the items sent in the April 2013 box was a Hanskin Hydro Sheet Mask. I was excited to try this as I've been using sheet masks for a few months now and have really enjoyed the other brand I've been using. I thought the Hanskin would be similar and I was wrong.

Hanskin did not have a cooling effect on my skin like the Beauty Treats mask and it just didn't feel wet enough to my skin. There was no immediate sensation of cooling and even after I removed the mask there was no sensation of cool skin. My skin felt the same as before the mask only slightly moist from the small amount of liquid that my skin absorbed from the sheet.
When I applied the mask to my face I couldn't get it it to lay flat. The more I attempted to smooth it out the more quickly the mask dried out. As the mask dried out it began to lift off my face. I didn't get a chance to wear it for 15 to 20 minutes since after 10 minutes the mask was dry enough that it was falling off my face. One thing is for sure, my skin didn't feel hydrated, nourished or conditioned just a bit wet.

I received the same mask with similar results. I wasn't impressed at all. Couldn't tell any difference in my skin afterwards. Mine was very wet and didn't fit the contours of my face.
