Spotted! New Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection

Saturday, December 22, 2012

Spotted at my local Walgreens tonight (well late last night) the new 2013 Fergie Centerstage Collection! I was shocked to see this collection since the Wet 'n' Wild Ambassadors such as Nouveau Cheap barely got or are still waiting for their packages from Wet 'n' Wild.

I ended up buying Rosé Champagne Glow To Reflect Shimmer Palettes ($5.99) and Desert Festival Photo Op Eyeshadows ($4.99). I played with Rosé Champagne Glow and it's really pretty and it reminds me of my Laura Geller Blush-n-Brighten in Pink Grapefruit (which my daughter currently has). It has a lovely pale pink-golden shimmer to it and makes a lovely highlight. According to the label this baked palette can be worn wet or dry.

The only downside to Rosé Champagne Glow is that it feels dry and rough to the touch due to the texture. I don't know how to explain it but there is a pattern and that pattern creates the rough texture. It's an absolute superficial thing on my part since it doesn't make the palette bad it just feels odd to me.

As for Desert Festival I picked this up since the other three shadow palettes look way too much like the Eye Kits that came out earlier this year. There are two mattes, two shimmers and I believe one pearl shadow. I haven't swatched this one yet and the light in my bedroom isn't the greatest at night time but the bottom two colors are definitely shimmer while the coral looking color is a matte and the center brown is a matte. The only one I'm having trouble telling is the khaki (dark beige) color. It does appear to have a slight shimmer to it. The applicator in the shadow palette is curved similar to Milani's baked shadows.

As I mentioned before I was shocked to have spotted a full display tonight (in my pic it's not full since I removed the two items I ended up buying). I wasn't expecting these until 2013 much less seeing it in my town any time soon. I didn't see at my local Walgreens the new Wet n Wild Cover All Creme Foundations, Pressed Powders, mascaras or the Megalast Liquid Lip Colors - yet.

What do you think of these new items? Excited to try or are these a pass for you?
